The Behind the DrywallTM Series was started in 2007 to provide the public with a unique hands-on chance to visit and view the latest in green building techniques and design before the drywall goes up.  Meadowlark Builders and Architectural Resource originally joined forces to present both an architect's and a builder's perspective on what it takes to make a house energy efficient or "green."  Most people don't get a chance to see these features because the majority of the green technology is put in place before the drywall is placed on the walls and ceiling.

Green design and building encompasses many things from durability to low carbon footprint to healthy interior environments.  However, what makes most people stand up and take notice is what hits them in the wallet:  energy costs.  Understanding how green building and design can be utilized to make a home not only energy efficient and earth-friendly, but also something that will be comfortable to live in today, tomorrow and long into the future is an important goal of the Behind the DrywallTM Tour Series.  We hope you enjoy your visit.

The Visible Green HomeTM Tour was initated by Michael Klement of Architectural Resource in 2012 to give the public a special perspective of a "Deep Green" whole house remodel during it's construction.  For more information visit www.visiblegreenhome.com.
