FROM OUR 2009 TOUR - THE NAUTILUS HOUSE.  STAY TUNED TO OUR WEBSITE FOR OUR UPCOMING 2013 TOURS.

The Behind The Drywall™ Tour Series was started in 2007 to provide the public with a unique hands-on chance to visit and view the latest in green building techniques and design before the drywall goes up. Meadowlark Builders and Architectural Resource originally joined forces to present both an architect's and a builder's perspective on what it takes to make a house energy and resource efficient.  Most people don't get a chance to see these features because the majority of the 'green' technology is put in place before the drywall is placed on the walls and ceiling.

'Green' design and building encompasses many things - from durability to low carbon footprints to minimizing impact on the waste stream to healthy interior environments.  However, what makes most people stand up and take notice is what hits them in the wallet: energy costs. Understanding how 'green' building and design can be utilized to make a home not only energy efficient and earth-friendly, but also something that will be comfortable to live in today, tomorrow and long in to the future, is an important goal of the Behind The Drywall™ Tour Series.  Enjoy your visit!
